Inspiration: The Art of
Interpretation Exhibit of 2005 Entries
CABO's first "Inspiration" design
competition was conceived and given life by dedicated member Regina
McDuff. The purpose of this competition was to challenge the bead artist
to step beyond her usual design ideas and draw inspiration from a new
source--a favorite work of art, an item of clothing, a magazine cover,
or anything else that called--to create an exotic neckpiece.
In the example below, Jackson Pollock's "Blue Poles" was the catalyst
for this unusual design in fiber and glass beads.
